The Dressing room of the GCI Cricket Team was again re stocked on Friday,1st of April, 2022 as a Grierson of Government College Ibadan, Olubi Adejobi (Grier, 1975) in collaboration with Krishat Pharma donated cricket equipment to his Alma Mater.

CLASS OF 1991 SEPTEMBER SET�S YEARLY ESSAY WRITING COMPETITION AND INTERSCHOOL DEBATE AT GCI TAKES PLACE
The eminent set of 1991 September of Government College Ibadan on Monday, 21st March, 2022, held her annual essay writing competition and interschool debate.
This essay writing competition which involved students from SSS 1 and SSS2 classes which lasted for 45 minutes and started around 8:00am was themed: �Nigeria Natural Resources is a Blessing or Curse.�

GCIOBANA DONATES PUBLIC ADDRESS SYSTEM TO THE SCHOOL
The North America Branch of Government College Ibadan Old Boys Association donated two (2) pieces of Public Address Systems to Government College Ibadan.
The two Public Address Systems included both wireless microphone and wireless mouthpiece.
The purpose of the donation is to ensure that the communication between the teachers and the students, in classrooms and lecture theatres is enhanced.
LATE LALEKAN ARE'S FAMILY SUPPLYS PENS TO GCI STUDENTS
The family of late Dr. Lalekan Ayokunnu Are (514, Field, 1948) has gifted hundreds of pen to students of Government College Ibadan.
The writing material was given to the SSS 3 students and school prefects (368, altogether) of the school in commemoration of the 2nd Annual Memorial Celebrations of the late distinguished Old Boy, in January, 2022.

The 1976 Set of Government College Ibadan Old Boys Association has again rewarded the brilliance, hard work, and diligence of students of Government College Ibadan.

GCI CLASS OF 1997 GIFTS WHITEBOARDS TO GCI
The Class of 1997 of Government College Ibadan under the umbrella of the Government College Ibadan Old Boys Association (GCIOBA) has given eight (8) whiteboards to the school in the month of January 2022.
The donation came as the Set's 2021 Project. This gesture corroborates the aim of the Old Boys Association to bring back glory to the citadel of learning.
The whiteboards had since been installed at the classrooms at Aso Rock and 1980 Set buildings, in the senior school.
