1986 Set of Government College Ibadan Old Boys Association has on Thursday, 12th May, 2022, re launched an Agricultural club named "Young Farmers Club" at her Alma Mater.

Like Minds Group under its Operation Kit-Up GCI Students Project has donated School Kits to five students of Government College Ibadan. Each of the School Kits comprises 2 pairs of newly sewn school shorts, 2 school shirts, 1 school sandal, 1 brown belt and 1 school bag.
The students were carefully drawn from the three schools, with two each from Junior School I and Junior School II; and the 5th beneficiary from Senior School. They were indigent and truly deserving students.
