My short memoir as Set Captain

I took over the reins as set captain in 2007. My predecessor was Wale Babalakin who did very well steering the set in the right direction.
Secretary and Bolade Oyebolu as Treasurer.
I was blessed to have worked with an EXCO comprising of very committed and dedicated members. They are, Kayode Olotu as Vice Captain, Wale Ajomale as private sector experiences, prepared me well for the assignment as Set Captain.
My Invaluable GC exposure alongside my undergraduate experience at UNIE.N, my Masters at the University of Newcastle, England as well as my public and As EXCO, we were pragmatic in our approach, not trying to reinvent the wheel, but creating a jolly good camaraderie spirit within the class set. Our end of year party (ENDO) brings the best out of everyone and the nostalgic feeling endures for long.
We also established a good rapport and seamless interface with Lagos state chapter of the Old boys association and the National body. This allowed the set to command leverage on matters arising within the larger body.
I state without reservations that my set members gave the desired support needed for me to function effectively as Set Captain; for this, I am eternally grateful.

Long live GCI '71 Set!
