GCI Boy, Elechi Shines Again; Emerges As First Runner-up of 2019 Splash FM Inter-Secondary School Oratory Contest

It was another moment of sheer bliss for GCI wonder kid, Elechi Ifeanyichukwu as he dazzled the world with his exceptional oratory prowess at the third edition of Splash FM / Revolutionplus Oratory Contest held on Monday, 27th of May, 2019 to celebrate the 2019 Children's Day.

The participants of the oratory contest included students from both public and private secondary schools in the city of Ibadan, among which were Calvary International College, Lead City International High School, United Missions Comprehensive College, Queens School, Ibadan and Vale College.

Yetunde Ojebola Afeyiodo of Vale College emerged as the overall winner, while Elechi Ifeanyichukwu, Olutayo Oluwasemilore and Olumeyan Opemipo of Government College Ibadan, United Missions Comprehensive College and Calvary International College emerged as the first, second and third runners-up respectively.

It would be recalled that Elechi, the current Deputy Head of School had earlier won the GCIOBA 90th Anniversary Writing Contest organised by the GCIOBA-1991 September Set.
