PREAMBLE
The project started sometimes around February 2017. It was an initiative of a set of Old boys of �91 set. The individuals were:

The initiative which commenced in February 2017 is done monthly and has had over 50 students as beneficiaries since its inception.
The project beneficiaries are mostly Students in Junior Secondary School and was created to make life more meaningful for the impoverished Parents who cannot afford all the basic needs for these lads, reason that kept a considerable number of them out of school and putting them on the street becoming miscreants which could later turn out to be menace to the society at large. So it was thought through that the Old Boys come together through their resources to alleviate some of the burden of the impoverished among these kids. A sort of Corporate Social Responsibility of the GCIOBA 1991 A Set.
The Kit comprises two complete set of school uniforms with a back pack and a pair of brown sandals (GCI Standard) as shown below:
In 2019, the project got a facelift as 6 Old Boys from the aforelisted 21 Old Boys came together to form a group called ''Like Minds Group", an offshoot from the 1991-January Set. Like Minds Group has thus far been spearheading this project. Meet the faces behind this project.

1ST BENEFICIARY
Master ADENEKAN ABDULGANIYU, a JSS 2, Field House student and a 3rd born in a family of five was the first beneficiary of this kind gesture. He was presented with two complete sets of school uniforms with bag and sandals given to him by the Set as the Monthly Operation Kit-Up impoverished GCI students kicks-off. Master Adenekan was chosen through a random selection within the school premises.

So far and as usual, encomiums have been consistently showered by both GCI parents and teachers on this group of Old Boys for their thoughtfulness and kind consideration in ensuring that indigent GCI students are well dressed.
