R.A. ADELABU

PRINCIPAL (1994 - 1997)

Mr. Remi A. Adelabu was the first and only son of an Old Boy of GCI to become the Principal of the College. His father, Joseph Sanusi, later Adegoke Adelabu (1931) was an Old Boy and a prominent politician.

Taking over the mantle of leadership from Mr. H.A. Adeyinka, his tenure spanned 1994 to 1997 when he, in turn, handed over to Mr. O.A. Omoloye.

He was quiet and an unassuming person. The Old Boys probably out of sentiment, loved him. He did his best to maintain a high level of discipline among members of staff and GCI boys.

He worked on the College records, updating them.
