Olufemi Oduntan was born to Benjamin Adefolarin Oduntan and Princess Olufunmilayo Oduntan (both deceased) in Ibadan.

He attended Ibadan City Council Primary School Oke-Bola Ibadan (near Nigerian Tobacco Company) and passed the Common Entrance exam into Government College Ibadan as part of the 1962 Set with Odinma Ofili, Leke Ogunlesi, and Niyi Ogunsola.

He became the most fortunate of the four boys to be posted to Field House with two boys in Banjoko and Adegbola, a fantastic Teur in Adisa Fashola and grand Teur in Sowunmi. He also had “GodTeurs” with open pockets, in Capt. Dele Ore, and Victor Odozi. He was Captain of the Table Tennis team in 1966. Returned to Nigeria in 1976 and immediately joined the Lagos Branch of GCIOBA hosting the Branch meeting at his residence on several occasions to become Assistant Secretary to both Ahmed Abdulai (late) and Akinbami.

Further academic study led him to Federal School of Science, Lagos and later left for England where he obtained his BSc (Hon) Degree. A member of various professional bodies and earned the CMD certificate as a Professional Trainer. Represented Nigeria at the World International Conference for Training and Development Practitioners held in Sweden. Worked at Cocoa Industries Ikeja and ended up at Total Nigeria Ltd. He subsequently set up his two companies of Faultless Nigeria Limited, and FEW (Flawless Engineering Works) Ltd.

He is a member of Bola Memorial Anglican Church Onigbagbo, lkeja (4Oyrs) where he belongs to various societies of FOH, YMCA, and Egbe Ifelodun. Elected Peoples Warden (8yrs) and later Archdeaconry Treasurer of the church and Archdeaconry respectively. Received an award of the Primate of the Anglican Communion; The Most Rev. Abiodun Adetiloye of blessed memory. He is a member of his home church —St. Paul Anglican church Iworo Ijebu.

Femi Oduntan joined Ysmen International, an NGO with International Headquarters in Geneva, Switzerland (a service club of YMCA) and became President, District Governor, Regional Director, and finally the Africa Area President as International Council Member. As President of Ikeja Club of the said association, he built twin 3 bedroom bungalows for The Spinal Cord Injury Association of Nigeria (SCIAN) in Amuwo Odofin, Lagos, for which he was given a special award and placed on the International Award Honours Roll in Geneva.

He is a member of Ikoyi Club 1938 (25yrs). An avid Table Tennis player, he became Chairman of the section with an automatic membership of the Executive Committee of the club for 2yrs (maximum period allowed by the Club Rule book).

Femi Oduntan was anointed by the Lord Bishop of Ijebu, The Rt. Rev. (Dr.) Ayo Awosoga as Balogun of St. Paul Anglican Church lworo, Ijebu. Similarly, The Olowu of Owu Ijebu HRH Oba Olusegun Adesina made him The Otunba Folugboyega of Owu, Ijebu.

He is blessed with three children, Tolulope, Funmilola, and Oluwadolapo with wonderful supportive siblings in Bisi, Ayo, Moradeke, Seyi, Gbenga, Tutu and Rotimi.

To God be the glory, for as he claims “he bears a charmed life” purely by the grace of Jesus Christ having survived being shot on two separate occasions by armed robbers that makes him carry permanent live bullets everywhere to date in the last 20yrs. He is a testimony to God’s abiding favour, grace and mercy.
