L.R. OLAJIDE

PRINCIPAL (2000 - 2001)

Elder 'Layiwola R. Olajide succeeded Mr. Ajekigbe in September 2000 and his stay was rather short as he left 7 months later when he attained the statutory retirement age. He thus became the second Master of GCI to retire in office.

He could not condone indiscipline and was an Education Officer to the core, a dedicated Civil Servant and he had the interest and welfare of staff members at heart.

He was in the habit of creating time after dispersing the boys at the end of the morning assembly, to hold morning briefing with words of advice and admonition using tit-bits with the staff members, putting the young officers through what was expected of them.
