Lagos Branch 2018 Annual Luncheon Committee Chairman's Speech

The Chairman of this August setting, Special Guests, Old Boys, Young Girls, Ladies and Gentlemen. I am most delighted to welcome you all to our 2018 Annual Luncheon and Merit Award Ceremony which by God’s Divine Grace comes up today the 17th day of June, 2018.

This event as we all know climaxes the Branch Annual Week which started with visits to our Widowed Young Girls, some Ancient Old Boys, and finally some Charity homes.

As we continue in our quest to ensure full and unwavering support to the National Body towards the successful realization of the RESTORATION PROJECT, we expect that Class Sets and Individual members will rise to the occasion to assist the Lagos Branch in liquidating its outstanding levy.

Due to suggestions received from many Old Boys, we are considering turning this event to an ENDO from next year. Consultations are however still in progress however we hope that at the end of the day we will come up with a resolution that will guarantee and encourage higher attendance in the years to come.

May I also use this opportunity to join the Chairman in his appeal to all Old Boys resident in Lagos to attend the Lagos Branch monthly meetings which is fast improving in recent times.

We have made a very conscious effort to ensure that we all come together this year to unwind and enjoy ourselves thoroughly hence have put a well packaged entertainment in place for our pleasure.

I practically welcome our Young Girls and other invited Guests to this event and wish us all a most wonderful, entertaining and enjoyable Annual Luncheon.

Gbola Akinola 1972 Set
Vice Chairman, Lagos Branch.
