Bill White, Mayor of the City of Houston, proclaimed the 15th day in the month of September, 2007 as Government College Ibadan Old Boys Association North America Day.

The proclamation was made and sealed on the 13th day of September, 2017 prior to the End of Year Dinner and Dance (ENDO) of GCI Old Boys in Houston, Texas hosted by Government College Old Boys Association, North America Branch on 15th of September, 2007.
