GCI Wins The 2017 Int'l Teachers' Day Inter-Secondary Schools Debate Competition

There are only two Schools in the Pacesetter State - Government College Ibadan and others.

The School built on the rock, participated in the Inter-Secondary Schools Debate Competition organised by University of Ibadan's Faculty of Education to mark the 2017 International Teachers Day.

The oral contest titled 'Falling Standard of Education: Teachers are Responsible' took place at the Faculty's Seminar Room on Thursday, 5th of October, 2017.

It should be noted that four days earlier, Government College Ibadan was the first Runner-up at the Match Past Contest during the Nigeria’s 57th Independence Anniversary organised by the Oyo State Government. The result of which was perhaps thought to have been a relief to the judges to have broken the monotony of awarding the first prize to GCI every year.
