Donation of '1001 Rules of Etiquette' books to JSS 1 Boys of GCI

The author of '1001 Rules of Etiquette', Olaleye Falore (Carr, 1962) on Tuesday, 5th of February, 2019 presented the etiquette books to each JSS 1 boy of Government College Ibadan from both Junior School I and II at the Assembly Hall of the School.

In attendance were Hon. Dr. Babayomi Taiwo M.D; D.A; FAGP who wrote the Foreword of the book; Mr Banwo Smith, an Old Boy of GCI and the Chairman of GCI school Governing Board; Prof. Gabriel Obigbesan, foremost Agronomist and former GCIOBA-Ibadan Branch Chairman; Mrs Fatoki, Acting Permanent of the Oyo State Ministry of Education alongside other senior members of the Ministry, Principals and members of staff of the School, parents and the JSS 1 boys.

In his address, the author of the book assured the students that the book if well read will guide the students' behaviour and mold them to become exceptional leaders among their peers, especially in the society of today filled with moral decadence. He charged them to not only read the books but to also practise and imbibe the teachings. He thanked the Old Boys Association for availing him the platform to give back to his Alma Mater and also the 1991-January Set of GCIOBA for sponsoring the donation project. He further mentioned it that the project if well sponsored would be done annually so as to build proper character into the new intake of the school.
