Cutting of the GCI 90th Anniversary Cake

Government College Ibadan became 90 on Thursday, 28th of February, 2019.

The event compered by the duo of Bazuaye Alloysius (1991-September Set) and Mr Oladapo, was marked with the 80th Inter House Athletics Competition of the school, the re-launching of The Rock Magazine and cutting of the anniversary cake. The event which took place at the School Main Pitch, BCGA held under the chairmanship of Wale Babalakin (Grier, 1971), National President, GCIOBA ably represented by his vice, Tola Obembe (1978).

In attendance were Prof. Gabriel Obisesan (1950) - a foremost Agronomist, Tola Obembe (1978) - the First National Vice President, Yinka Yusuff - the General Secretary, GCIOBA; Yinka Adepoju - National Social Secretary, GCIOBA; Abayomi Oke - the Oyo State Honourable Commissioner for Youth and Sports, Mrs Fatoki - Acting Permanent Secretary, Oyo State Ministry of Education and other top officials of the Ministry, Mrs C.O. Bolaji - Director of Schools and Prize Distributor; members of GCI staff, Old Boys, parents and invited guests.
