2018 Message II From The National President

Distinguished Old Boys, Young Girls and invited guests; welcome to our Get-together for 2018.

It is another opportunity to celebrate our past, our present and our hope for the future.

I thank the Branches and Class Sets for various contributions resulting in positive developments in GCI in the areas of infrastructure, teacher support, sports, academics and moral discipline.

We are now in positive partnership with Oyo State Government in the management of GCI. We now have a School Governing Board and we can now admit our own students into JSS 1 on merit. Our GCI Educational Foundation has raised over #30 Million to support the school. The DJB Foundation continues to award annual scholarships to deserving students.

My deep appreciation also goes to Branches and Class Sets for payment of annual dues with which we run the affairs of GCIOBA. All of these we have done together in the last six years and it is time to say goodbye. I also want to thank individual Old Boys who have supported me in cash and kind. I wish you a wonderful gathering.
